Aims of the PECERA (Hong Kong) are to:

• Develop and provide a platform for exchange of expertise, sharing of research and dialogue among educators and professionals working in the early childhood settings;
• Provide an academic forum in Hong Kong and the Pacific region for the development and dissemination of high quality research in early childhood education and related professions;
• Facilitate cooperation and collaboration among scholars, researchers and professionals working in early childhood settings;
• Promote links between research and practice in early childhood education; and
• Raise the visibility and status of research in early childhood education in Hong Kong and the Pacific region
